Charitable Christmas Cheer!

The Bird Luckin team have combined together at Christmas in a stirring show of seasonal support to raise money for the Bird Luckin Grassroots Community Fund for Essex.

With the Fund still in its infancy, it is very exciting to report that funds raised to date, together with the 50% contribution from the Government funded match challenge and the Gift Aid addition, total over £8,000 to put us well on schedule to achieve and indeed surpass our three year funding targets.

This Christmas we have enjoyed a casual dress day, collected contributions to the Fund as an alternative to sending cards around the office and run an in house quiz to raise over £500, which has surpassed all our expectations. Sadly, the casual dress day was rather disrupted by the snow and spoiled for some of us with the promised elves and angels replaced by muffled ladies unrecognisable beneath layers of scarves and hats!

Thanks go the whole team for working together so effectively and encouraging us to launch even more ambitious fund raising plans for 2010.
