Bird Luckin Awards celebrate academic achievement

Students at Anglia Ruskin University and Writtle College have continued to benefit from Bird Luckin’s support for learning and educational achievement this autumn, with awards for two of the best performing students in very different disciplines.

The Bird Luckin Overall Academic Achievement Award is awarded to the Anglia Ruskin University business student who receives the highest overall mark for their degree. We have been presenting the Award for more than a decade, giving a cheque for £100 to the winner.

This year’s outstanding student was Nasser Rabi-Laleh, who received a first class degree in Accounting and Finance and now hopes to study towards an ACCA to become a qualified accountant. The awards ceremony took place in September and Bird Luckin’s HR Manager Jackie Aspinall is pictured presenting the Award to Nasser.

We have also supported academic achievement among students at Writtle College over an even longer period, with a Bird Luckin Award for the student with the best results on the Conservation and Environment BSc course being presented annually for more than 20 years.

Once again the winner receives a cheque for £100, and this year’s Award went to Essex student Jessica Finch, who received her prize at the Colleges Graduation day celebrations at Chelmsford Cathedral.

Congratulations to Nasser and Jessica, and good luck to both of them in their future careers.
