Christmas e-card raises £250 in memory of Ian
Colleague of Ian Hart, an Audit Manager at our Chelmsford office who died suddenly in December 2010, were able to raise money in his memory this Christmas by making a donation in place of the money they would usually spend sending Christmas cards around the Bird Luckin offices.
Staff were asked if they wished to make a donation to the PCD Family Support Group, for the amount they would most likely have spent on Christmas cards; and in place of the printed cards, an eCard was sent round to staff, complete with names of all of those
who donated.
Altogether, the Christmas card donations raised a fantastic total of £227.50. Our team at Dunmow also held a quiz to raise money for the PCD Family Support Group totalling £24.00, bringing the total we managed to raise for the Group this Christmas to £251.50.
In November an ornamental pear tree was planted at the Bird Luckin Chelmsford Office, Aquila House in memory of Ian, who was an incredibly popular character and a really respected member of the team, and who continues to be greatly missed.
