Christmas spirit adds to fundraising efforts for ECF
|
The Bird Luckin team’s fundraising efforts for the Essex Community Foundation showed no signs of slowing down in the build up to the Christmas break – in fact if anything, the festive spirit provide an ideal opportunity to boost the funds for the county’s good causes. Events during December included a raffle (for which some of the prizes were donations to the ECF) and everyone also made a donation to dress down for the day. The team also held a silent auction for beautifully decorated Christmas cakes kindly made by the mother of Michael Breame, one of our Audit and Accounts Managers (many thanks to Dawn Breame), and continued to rent out two car parking spaces at our Chelmsford office. Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated event amongst staff was the ‘Guess the baby photo’ competition, where all Directors gave their baby pictures, and the team paid to enter the competition to guess which baby face belonged to which Director! Gayner Smith won the guessing game, and also kindly donated her winnings to the ECF, which helped to bring the total raised during December to £231.26 (including Gift Aid). |
